For some of you that do not know my Mom has Cancer. Liver Cancer to be exact but it is complicated. The reason I say this is because.... she had 70% of her liver removed in 2007 and thought that all the cancer was gone. About a year later they found that it has spread to her adrenals and gallbladder. They removed both but while in surgery they did a scrape of the lining of the vena cava and found that it was positive for cancer cells but no mass thank goodness. To be on the safe side the doctor put her on an oral chemo where she took it for about 8 months . After some testing the found that her Alpha-fetoprotein was elevated and felt they needed to do something else. Which was Chemo. She has been on Chemo for about 4 months and has done ok so far. Her counts have been down causing her to need several blood transfusions.

For those that would still like to give blood but this date and time are not good for you. All you need to do is go in to any location in San Antonio and tell them that you are donating a *replacement* and have this information Hope Clark and the hospital is Northeast Methodist.
